The World’s Map Will Change Radically

The cause behind the possibility of a 3rd world war wherein guns were pressed on each others’ heads was rule by certain classes. For how long did it continue? This question is pointless. But what took place was that a few powerful groups usurped large chunks of land and started arrogantly ruling over its weak minded indwellers. In short this is government system. Right since Adam’s Era up till now with a few changes this is what is going on.

Use Language Arts Worksheets for Your Family

I include language arts worksheets in our homeschool program to provide variety and enrichment for our children. These handouts allow me to break from the routine of our curriculum and delve more fully into certain areas. Another great feature is the huge variety of reproducibles that exist.

So, if I decided that we should spend more time on analogies, for instance, I would create or locate printable sheets to use as additional practice pages. If I created a worksheet, I would include space at the top for the name and date. Then, I would probably define the term, list one sample, and follow that with about ten or so examples to be filled in.

    It really is that easy!

These could be some of the examples to be completed by a student if I was creating my own worksheet:

    1. Window is to house as leg is to _____________________________________. (body)

    Characteristics of A Good Tutor

Just because a person is certified to teach a certain age level does not mean that they will be a good tutor. Even if they have earned a degree or certification in a particular area of study this does not guarantee that they will work well with students; or maybe your child in particular. It is important for a tutor to understand the subject that they will be teaching. But it is even more important for a tutor to be able to explain the subject at the most basic level that all students would understand it. Not all tutors are able to do this so it’s good to get feedback from others who have used a tutor you are considering to see if they are good at working with different levels of students.

The Best Educational Games for Kids

Games are a great way for kids to learn while keeping them engaged. However, finding the best educational games for kids can be a bit of a challenge. Sometimes those games that seem educational are not. Below are just a few of the educational games on the market.

Manga High – Manga high is a math game for elementary and junior high students. There are currently eight different games to choose from like Ice, Ice Baby. The newest game is Prodigi, which adapts to the learning of the play, so the game will level with the child’s learning ability.

Busuu – Busuu is a game to help your child learn a foreign language. Spanish, German, and French are offered. An online community allows students to instantly chat with native speakers of the language they are studying. This allows students to get instant feedback on their syntax and vocabulary.

Language Learning – How Tongue Twisters Can Improve Your Pronunciation

A tongue twister is an alliterative group of words designed to twist the tongue and to help students and children to practice different sounds. Especially with languages like English and French, tongue twisters assist the students in their mastery of the pronunciation of difficult letter combinations.

Tongue twisters help students with their difficulties in pronouncing some vowel and consonant combinations. Portuguese students especially have a problem with pronouncing combinations like ‘th’, ‘ea’, and ‘sh’. Dr. Seuss’ book Fox in Socks contains some fun examples for more advanced English students. Shorter, more common tongue twisters like ‘She sells seashells’ are another good choice for a student who needs practice with these more difficult sounds as they train the student’s ear as well as their tongue. I would also point out that a twister like ‘unique New York’ – when it is said over and over again – is a stumbling block even for native English speakers.
